In 2005, Dan Casey Stinnett, a 2002 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center
and a solo practitioner in Liberty, Texas, published a document titled “The Trouble
with Tow Trucks” and subtitled “Federal Preemption of State Law Claims Against
Tow Truck Companies”.
His review of the then current structure of the state’s rights for
consumer protection laws outlined the past Federal Vs.
State laws on regulating tow
trucks.
