Prominent Christians have criticised
Australian Christian Lobby head Jim
Wallace over comments he made on
Twitter on Anzac Day.
“Just hope that as we remember
servicemen and women today we
remembertheAustraliatheyfoughtfor
— wasn’t gay marriage and Islamic!”
Wallace tweeted.
After a barrage of criticism, Wallace
later apologised for the timing of
the comments but not their content,
tweeting, “Ok you are right my
apologies this was the wrong context
to raise these issues.
ANZACs mean to
[sic] much to me to demean this day,
not intended”.
At least two prominent Christians
turned to Twitter to express their
displeasure at Wallace’s comments.
“It’s so sad that people who should
know better have to use ANZAC DAY
to pick on people they don’t like.
